Duba Club - Al Adalh 64-68 We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Tabuk where 8th ranked Duba Club (2-4) was defeated by ninth ranked Al Adalh (2-4) 68-64 on Monday. Strangely Duba Club outrebounded Al Adalh 54-30 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Russian forward Andrey Semenov (200-1990, college: JMU) had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Tunisian swingman Islem Elajmi (196-1991) chipped in 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American guard Unique McLean (188, college: SFC, agency: Blacktop Management) with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and Ukrainian center Vladyslav Koreniuk (210-1994, agency: BIG) scored 8 points and 18 rebounds. Al Adalh moved-up to eighth place, which they share with defeated Duba Club. Al Adalh will meet at home higher ranked Al Nasr (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Duba Club will play against the league's leader Al Ahly (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Ohod. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was swingman Brandon Austin (198-1994, college: NW Florida St.) who scored 27 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Antonio Campbell (206-1994, college: Ohio) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Jordan Washington (203-1993, college: Iona, agency: Interperformances) who recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds and point guard James Justice (178-1989, college: UT Southern) added 25 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Al Nasr moved-up to second place, which they share with Al Fateh. Ohod at the other side keeps the fourth position with two games lost. Al Nasr is looking forward to face Al Adalh (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. Ohod's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Medina Al Ansar. It was a good game for American forward Devin Ebanks (206-1989, college: WVU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds. Al Ahly's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Four Al-Taawon players scored in double figures. Al Ahly (6-0) have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 6 victories in a row. Al-Taawon lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the bottom place with five games lost. They share the position with Al Ansar and Al Salam. Al Ahly will play against Duba Club (#9) in Tabuk in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Al-Taawon will play on the road against Al Salam in Al-Awamiyah and it may be a tough game between close rivals. Guard Brian Halums (196-1997, college: UAFS) scored 23 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Justin Everett (206-1996, college: Humboldt St.) chipped in 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was center Anthony McClain (211-1988, college: Cincinnati) with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and forward Nick Stover (198-1993, college: USA) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Al Salam's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Al Wehda moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Al Hilal and Al Ittihad. Al Salam lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with five games lost. They share it with Al Ansar and Al-Taawon. Al Wehda will meet at home Al Hilal (#7) in the next round. Al Fateh's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was Guyanese-American center Anthony Moe (206-1990, college: Millersville) with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 18 rebounds and American forward Gerard Tarin (206-1996, college: Nova SE) scored 32 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Al Fateh have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Al Nasr. Al Ansar lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. They share it with Al Salam and Al-Taawon. Al Fateh will meet Al Ittihad (#5) in the next round.
